August 3rd — Ride to Fargo, ND stopping in Missoula, MT.

Once I got closer to Spokane, Washington, I decided to take the Interstate for about 100 miles and then jump off at St. Regis in order to continue on the “back roads”. Even though I was on interstate system the road was anything but flat and straight. It proved to be another riding challenge and one that I actually enjoyed. There were lots of elevation changes and plenty of adrenaline filled sweepers.

I finally got to Missoula, Montana, my destination, and I found a room at the Travel Lodge for $175. I was lucky to get it because within 2 hours they were completely sold out. I guess the hotel industry is making up for 2020! And everyone is traveling this summer.

Missoula is a cute college town with a vibrant downtown section. It is worth checking out if you happen to be in the neighborhood. Just saying.
